Three people were arrested about an hour after what Flagler County deputies called a gang-related shooting in Palm Coast early Friday morning. Just after 1 a.m., deputies were called to Prosperity Lane by residents who reported two gunshots being fired at their home.
The 48-year-old resident told deputies she, her daughter, her son and her son's girlfriend were standing in the driveway when a car drove past the home and two shots were fired.
Witnesses said the vehicle then made a U-turn and sped away. The only injury was the 17-year-old son who was grazed on the lower leg by one of the shots.
The victim was able to identify the three occupants of the vehicle as Sahmi Green, 20, Tommy Banks, 21, and Gerrell Smith, 21.
Deputies located the vehicle on Bird of Paradise Drive and all three men were taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery and shooting into an occupied dwelling.
Flagler County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Steve Cole said the three are known to be affiliated with the Bloods criminal street gang.
"This was not a random shooting. These four individuals know each other and apparently have some differences between them," said Sheriff Donald W. Fleming.
Deputies suspect the shooting was some type of retaliation. The investigation into the incident continues.
The three arrested were each ordered held in the Flagler County Inmate Facility on $75,000 bond.
